Dr. Ong is a specialist in Paediatric Dentistry and earned her Masters of Science in Children's Dentistry with Distinction at the Eastman's Dental Institute, University of London in 1994. She was awarded the 3M postgraduate prize for clinical and academic excellence.
With over 26 years of experience, Dr Ong has practiced in established hospitals and dental clinics in the UK and Singapore under full dental registration with the Specialist Register UK then and now the Singapore Dental council, Specialist Register.
She gained valuable experience in her time spent at the paediatric dentistry unit at the National Dental Centre and is currently a visiting consultant to the Department of Cleft and Craniofacial Centre at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKWCH).
In private practice, she worked in two large group dental practices – most recently in Camden Medical Centre, Smilefocus. Her expertise is in treating children with extensive dental decay, accidental injuries, and children with special needs, for example – Autism. She is particularly good at helping anxious and nervous children feel more comfortable. Additionally she was one of the founding members and the Vice President of the Society of Paediatric Dentistry (Singapore).
Dr. Ong is accredited with the Parkway Group to perform surgeries at a number of facilities including Gleneagles and Mount Elizabeth hospitals, Novena Day Surgery, Pacific Endoscopy and Day Surgery Centre.
